30 rock gets 22 nominations

the list of Emmy Award nominations for 2009 has been announced. The 2009 Emmy awards will air on CBS September 20.

There are more nominations for 2009 than ever before. Here is a list of some of the big names for Emmy nominations in 2009.

30 Rock

NBC comedy series 30 Rock has been nominated for 22 2009 Emmy awards. Some of its award nominations include outstanding writing for a comedy series, outstanding casting for a comedy series, outstanding comedy series, outstanding directing for a comedy series, and several nominations for outstanding guest actors.

30 Rock is currently between its third and fourth seasons. NBC has confirmed it will air a fourth season starting in fall 2009. Several of the individual actors and actresses on 30 Rock were nominated for 2009 Emmys, including Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jack McBrayer and Jane Krakowski.

Grey Gardens

HBO original movie Grey Gardens was nominated for 17 Emmy awards. Jean Tripplehorn was nominated for outstanding supporting actress for her role as Jackie O.

The film was also nominated for outstanding art direction, outstanding cinematography, outstanding casting, outstanding costumes, outstanding directing and outstanding hairstyling.

Mad Men

American Movie Channel original series Mad Men was nominated for 16 awards among the Emmy nominations 2009. It was nominated for outstanding drama series, outstanding directing, outstanding art direction, outstanding casting, outstanding cinematography and outstanding costumes.

Mad Men lead actor Jon Hamm was nominated for outstanding lead actor in a drama series. Elizabeth Moss was nominated for her role as Peggy Olson. Jon Slattery was nominated for outstanding supporting actor. Mad Men was also nominated for outstanding writing for a drama series.

Into the storm

Into the storm, a film which premiered on HBO, was nominated for 14 Emmy awards for 2009. Some of its nominations include outstanding casting, outstanding art direction, outstanding costumes, outstanding cinematography and outstanding directing.

Acting nominations for into the storm include Brendan Gleeson for his role as Winston Churchill. It also was nominated for outstanding made-for-TV movie.

Saturday Night Live

Long-running NBC sketch comedy Saturday Night Live Got 13 Emmy nominations for 2009. Amy Poehler was nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series as was Kristen Wiig.

Saturday Night Live was nominated for a 2009 Emmy for outstanding technical direction camerawork and video control for a series. It was nominated for outstanding variety music or comedy series.
